According to University officials, this event was the first of its kind on campus.
According to the Student Activity Coordinator Ebony Johnson, every year the university tries to cater to a different area and style of music, so this year was D.C. and Maryland's.
According to Paul Fullmore from the Wild Boys Band, Go-Go is a type of live percussion band that's popular in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.
"The show wasn't what I expected it to be, and I think it would have been better if we had another band," said freshman, Alicia McKeithan.
Sophomore Lashawn Hoes from St. Augustine's College states that she was excited and had to attend when she heard there was a Go-Go concert because she doesn't get a chance to hear it that often in Raleigh.
"I'm glad I came to the show because the Go-Go was better than most parties I been to this year," said Hoes.
According to Johnson, the turnout was what she expected and hoped everyone enjoyed themselves.
