The Go-Go concert provided for Shaw University's Homecoming brought about mixed feelings, states some students.
According to Ebony Johnson, Student Activity Coordinator, there was a possibility that the Go-Go was not going to satisfy all students, but it would make the DC and Maryland students feel at home.
"I don't understand why they would have a Go-Go band when they know students from Shaw are from all over. Having a Go-Go band was a waste of a homecoming concert because it's more students who don't like go-go than students who do like it," said Keshanda White.
Although there were other students who had similar viewpoints as White, there were some who disagreed with her. "It was a good idea to have a Go-Go concert because it's a change for the campus," said Kiaria Henderson, Senior.
According to Student Activities, the Go-Go was preferred by all students but after a few failed attempts at other artists, it was an option.
