The Shaw University Bears took on the Livingstone College Blue Bears for the homecoming football game. Shaw won the game by a final score of 54-3. The Shaw Bears got out to an early 7 point lead when De' Andre Okonji returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown.

On Livingstone's first possession, the Shaw defense forced Livingstone into a three and out. When Shaw got the ball back on their next possession, they scored in four plays making the score 14-0. After another touchdown for the Bears, Livingstone drove down the field and got a field goal which put them on the score board.

With a little over a minute left in the first half, Shaw blocked a punt and the ball rolled out the back of the end zone, resulting in a safety. Shaw went into halftime with a 22-3 lead. Shaw did not let up in the second half, outscoring the Blue Bears by thirty two points.

The win helped improve Shaw to a 7-2 record overall, while Livingstone fell to 0-9. Shaw will take on Johnson C. Smith next week for its last regular season game.
